Chestnut - Alpine Luxury Vinyl Plank Flooring

Chestnut is the richest board in the Alpine plank range: a mid reddish-brown with a caramel warmth and clear grain running through it. It is the only genuinely warm-toned dark option here, and it reads closer to walnut or aged hardwood than to oak.

Red-brown floors have a specific job. They suit period homes, rooms with existing timber joinery, and interiors built around leather, brass or deep colour, where a cool grey plank would sit awkwardly against the woodwork. They also carry enough depth to anchor a large open room without going as dark as a charcoal or espresso board, which keeps the space from closing in.

The grain contrast is practical as well as decorative: mid-tone boards with visible figure are the best at disguising dust, footmarks and pet hair, because there is enough movement in the surface that small imperfections never register.

At 3mm, luxury vinyl adds almost nothing to floor height, useful in renovations where door clearances and thresholds are already fixed, and it is softer, quieter and warmer underfoot than rigid core alternatives. The 0.55mm wear layer with PU and nano silver coating handles daily traffic and resists staining. Also available in the wider 5mm format. Supply and install available across Sydney.
