Alpine Luxury Vinyl Plank Flooring
Alpine is Airlay's luxury vinyl plank, ten colours including two laid as herringbone. The standard plank is 177.8 x 1219.2mm at 3.0mm, 15 to a box covering 3.26m2. A wider 5mm format is also available at 228.6 x 1524mm, 8 planks to a box covering 2.79m2.
At 3mm it lays over an existing floor without raising the level enough to force trimmed doors or rebuilt thresholds, which is often what decides a renovation. It is also softer, quieter and warmer underfoot than a rigid core product, because there is no stone composite in it.
The wear layer is 0.55mm, which sits at the upper end for luxury vinyl, under a PU and nano silver surface treatment.
A note on the pale colours. Boards with visible striation through the grain break up the surface and stop fine dust reading as obviously as it would on a flat uniform tone, so the more figured pales are the easier ones to live with.

Wheat is a light sandy blonde: a warm, softly golden board with gentle grain movement and a slightly deeper, less yellow cast than a true blonde oak. It is the most understated of Alpine's warm planks and the easiest to...

Snow is worth a second look before you assume it from the name. It is not a white board. It is a very pale warm greige, a soft creamy neutral with smooth, quiet grain and almost no contrast. It is...

Silver Ash is the coolest board in the Alpine range: a pale blue-grey with pronounced white striation running through the grain, closer to limed or bleached timber than to any natural oak tone. It is the most decisive of the...

Sienna Herringbone is the richer, more saturated of Alpine's two herringbone designs: a warm reddish-brown that reads closer to walnut than oak. It suits period homes and rooms with timber joinery, where a cooler plank would sit awkwardly against the...

Pine Mist is a soft washed grey with only a faint warm undertone: the greyest board in the Alpine plank range, and the one that sits most comfortably in a contemporary or minimalist interior where the floor should recede beneath...

Mocha Herringbone is the warm option in Alpine's herringbone luxury vinyl planks: a mid-brown timber look with enough grain contrast that the chevron pattern stays legible across a whole floor rather than blurring into a single tone. Luxury vinyl is...

Maple is the brightest warm board in the Alpine range: a light golden blonde with a clear honeyed cast and soft, even grain. It is the plank to choose when you want the floor to lift a room rather than...

Cedar is a warm tan-gold plank: a mid-light honeyed board with smooth, even grain and a consistent tone from plank to plank. It is the quieter of Alpine's warm timber looks, where Chestnut is deeper and redder and Maple is...

Argent is a pale warm greige: an oatmeal-toned board with visible grain striation and a touch more warmth than the name implies. It is not a cool silver; it sits between Alpine's true greys and its blondes, which makes it...
