Cotton Oak - 14/2mm Bonita Engineered Timber Flooring

Bonita Cotton Oak is a pale cream oak with a soft yellow warmth, gentle grain, a few small knots and the occasional darker streak. It is the warmest of the range's pale boards: White Oak and Latte Oak sit pinker and cooler beside it.

Pale warm oak is the coastal and Scandinavian default for a reason. It bounces light around small and south-facing rooms and pairs with white walls, linen, rattan and pale timber furniture without effort. The cost is upkeep: hair, dust and dried drips show on a cream floor sooner than on a mid tone, so it suits people who sweep often.

The board is real European oak, a 2mm veneer over cross-laminated plywood for 14mm in total, 1900mm long and 190mm wide. It has a tongue and groove profile for direct stick or floated installation and a micro bevel on all four edges. The coating is a low-gloss matt of 5 to 8 percent, applied in seven UV-cured layers.

ABCD grading means the colour and character vary between boards, and each box can contain up to a quarter short boards, which is normal for the grade and useful at the ends of rows. A pack is six boards and 2.166m2 at 20.3kg. Residential warranty is 25 years structural and 7 years on the finish; the timber is not for bathrooms or laundries.
