Spotted Gum - 9.5mm Duro Plus Hybrid Flooring

Duro Plus Spotted Gum is a mid to dark brown with the wavy fiddleback figure the species is known for, black gum vein and a wide spread from honey planks to deep chocolate ones. It looks like the timber, which is not something every hybrid spotted gum can say, and it is the most varied board in the range.

That variation is the point, so treat it as one. Open every carton before you start and mix boards across them as you lay, or the dark planks will gather in one part of the room. It suits warm or neutral walls, brass or black tapware and real timber furniture, and it holds up beside timber joinery where a flat oak print would look thin.

The construction is what separates Duro Plus from the entry-level hybrids. An 8mm rigid core carries a 0.5mm wear layer, with 1.5mm of acoustic underlay bonded to the back, for a 9.5mm board that is 1800mm long and 228mm wide. Longer boards mean fewer end joins, which matters more on a busy decor like this one than on a plain one.

Finish is embossed matt with a four-side micro bevel and a drop lock click. Packs hold three boards, 1.2312m2, at 22kg. It tested P3 for wet slip to AS 4586:2013 and carries a 25 year residential structural warranty; it is an interior floor rated for in-slab hydronic heating only.
