PRODUCT INFORMATION
PRODUCT INFORMATION

Firewood is worth looking at before you judge it by the name. It is not a warm red-brown. It is a pale, cool greige, a soft washed grey-beige with low contrast and fine grain, and it is one of the two lightest boards in the Hydrocore range.

That makes it a quiet floor, which is usually the point. Pale cool boards recede beneath furniture rather than competing with it, and they lift a room that is short on natural light where a darker floor would absorb it. It suits contemporary and coastal interiors: white or off-white walls, pale joinery, black or chrome fixtures.

The honest caveat is that very light, low-contrast floors show dust sooner than a mid-tone with strong grain, not marks or scuffs, which the pale surface hides well, but fine dust in the days after you clean. If that matters to you, Brandy or Fortune Cookie give you similar brightness with more grain movement to break it up.

Rated 72 hour waterproof, so a spill has three days before it can swell a board. At 8mm on 1510 x 195mm boards, Hydrocore is our value laminate, with an AC4 light commercial rating and E0 environmental grade. Supply and install available across Sydney.
