PRODUCT INFORMATION
PRODUCT INFORMATION

Golden Fog is a pale, misty grey oak with only the faintest warm undertone holding it back from a true cool grey. The name is more about that warmth than any actual gold. It reads as limed or softly weathered timber, with low contrast and gentle grain.

It is the most neutral board in the Hydrocore range and the one to choose when the floor should be a background rather than a feature. Grey-toned floors work hardest in contemporary and minimalist interiors, and they are unusually easy to furnish around: almost nothing clashes with a soft grey.

The trade-off is the same as with any pale low-contrast board. It hides scuffs and marks well, but shows fine dust in the days after cleaning sooner than a strongly grained mid-tone would. Against Firewood, its closest neighbour, Golden Fog is marginally warmer and slightly more figured; the two are close enough that they are worth seeing side by side rather than judging from a screen.

Rated 72 hour waterproof, giving a spill three days before it can swell a board. At 8mm on 1510 x 195mm boards, Hydrocore is our value laminate: AC4 light commercial rating, E0 environmental grade. Supply and install available across Sydney.
