PRODUCT INFORMATION
PRODUCT INFORMATION

Blackbutt in the Preference Floors Oakleaf HD Plus range is a light warm golden-tan with a soft, even grain: a restrained and fairly convincing take on the species, closer to how Australian blackbutt actually lays than the heavily saturated golden-amber versions you see elsewhere. That makes it the safe choice it ought to be: light enough to keep a room bright, warm enough never to feel clinical, and neutral enough not to date with a colour trend. It is the reason blackbutt has been the default new-build floor in Sydney for two decades.

A species look lives or dies on how often the pattern repeats, and this is where Oakleaf HD Plus earns its money: a high definition digital print with 30 pattern repeats, against the six to ten most laminates manage. Blackbutt's grain is subtle and evenly spaced, which is exactly the kind of pattern where a short repeat becomes visible across a hallway. The planks are 2200mm long and 196mm wide, so end joins are few and far between.

AC4 rated for everyday residential wear, with a 48 hour water-resistant core and a moisture-protection treated V4 micro bevel so spills have time to be wiped before they reach the joint. Super matte coating, Välinge click floating installation, P3 slip under AS 4586, and GOLD Greenguard Certified for low chemical emissions. Preference back it with a 25 year limited structural warranty and 20 years on the finish.

One limitation: suitable over in-slab hydronic heating only, not electric underfloor heating mats. Supply and install available across Sydney.
