Westminster - Perma - 9.5mm Cut Pile Carpet

Perma is a deep rust-terracotta, a brick red with the orange pulled back and a good deal of brown behind it. Carpet ranges almost never carry a colour like this, and it is the reason designers keep returning to Westminster. It reads rich and slightly velvety in a plush pile rather than loud, and it is at its best in rooms that are meant to feel enclosed and warm: a media room, a snug, a wine room, a boutique hotel corridor, a restaurant fitout. It sits well with walnut and spotted gum, cream and putty walls, tan leather and unlacquered brass. It is the strongest warm colour in the range, so it needs deciding on rather than defaulting to. If you love the warmth but not the commitment, Palpate is a very dark warm charcoal-brown that gives you the same temperature without the red, and Synth is the warm neutral option.

Belgotex build Westminster from 100% Premium Solution Dyed Nylon in a tufted cut pile, 9.5mm total thickness, on a FusionBac backing, 4.0m wide. Solution dying is essential for a saturated red: pigment is introduced into the nylon as it is made, so Perma cannot sun-bleach to pink along a window line the way a surface-dyed red eventually would. The same construction makes it stain proof and fade proof in practice, and allows firm cleaning without lifting colour out of the pile.

Underfoot the 9.5mm plush is deep and soft, and Belgotex specifically cite Westminster for superior sound absorption, which is worth knowing for apartments, upstairs rooms and any space where footfall carries. The range carries an AS ISO 9239-1 fire rating and is rated Extra Heavy Duty Residential and Heavy Duty Commercial, so a colour this distinctive is available for commercial work as well as for a home. It is also anti-allergenic, and the environmental profile covers low VOC emissions, a solution dying process that uses no water, ISO 14001 certification and Science Based Targets initiative targets set.

The warranty is 20 years residential and 10 years commercial, the longest Belgotex give on any carpet. Supply and install available across Sydney.
