Grande 9.0 - Raven - 9mm Hybrid Flooring

Raven is the darkest board in Grande 9.0 and makes no apology for it: a near-black charcoal brown with cool grey grain surfacing through the top, closer to a stained timber than a natural one. Hawthorn is its nearest neighbour here and is markedly lighter and more olive by comparison. Raven belongs in rooms with generous natural light and pale walls, where a dark floor becomes a deliberate anchor rather than a weight, and it looks exceptional under mid-century furniture and warm metals. In a small, dim or low-ceilinged room it will make the space feel smaller.

A very dark floor is the most demanding surface in this range to keep looking immaculate. Dust, lint, pale pet hair and dry footprints all read clearly against it, and in low raking sunlight every one of them is visible. What it does superbly is hide dark soil, and it gives a room a depth that no mid-tone can match. Best used in formal living rooms, bedrooms and spaces you can keep on top of; think twice about a Raven entry hall opening straight onto a garden.

Grande 9.0 is a floating SPC hybrid at a full 9mm, with 2mm of that made up by IXPE acoustic underlay pre-attached to the board, so the floor goes down in one pass. The build stacks a rigid core, an LVT balance layer and a cushion pad beneath a 0.55mm wear layer and an anti-bacterial UV coating. Boards measure 1500 x 230mm, carry micro-bevelled edges and click together on a precision click-lock profile. While the rigid core itself is waterproof, a click-together floor is not a waterproof assembly and is not a substitute for a waterproofing membrane — talk to us first if it is going into a wet area.
