Grande 9.0 - Sand - 9mm Hybrid Flooring

Sand is the middle of the road in the best sense: a light warm beige oak with an even, quiet grain and just enough golden warmth to stop it reading as grey. It sits between Bella and Capri: warmer and softer than the first, lighter and calmer than the second. It is the board to choose when the floor genuinely needs to be a background, when the house will be sold or restyled within a decade, or when the rest of the palette is still undecided. If you want the floor to be a feature in its own right, Northern Spotted Gum or Raven will serve you better.

Neutral light-warm boards are the most broadly liveable option in any range. There is enough tone to hide dust and enough grain to hide fine scratching, and neither light nor dark debris is thrown into relief the way it is at the extremes. Sand brightens south-facing rooms, keeps large open-plan spaces feeling calm rather than busy, and does not fight whatever rug, sofa or joinery colour arrives later. It is a dependable performer in hallways, bedrooms and living areas, and a safe specification for rental and investment properties.

Grande 9.0 is the thickest hybrid board Eco Flooring Systems makes: 9mm in total, of which 2mm is IXPE acoustic underlay bonded to the back at the factory, so nothing separate is rolled out beneath it. Above that sits a rigid SPC core with an LVT balance layer and a cushion pad, finished with a 0.55mm wear layer under an anti-bacterial UV coating. Boards are 1500 x 230mm with micro-bevelled edges and join with a precision click-lock profile as a floating floor. The core is a waterproof rigid core, but a click-together floor is not a waterproof assembly and is not a substitute for a waterproofing membrane. Talk to us before specifying it for a wet area.
