Grande 9.0 - Sparrow - 9mm Hybrid Flooring

Sparrow occupies the greige middle ground that most colour charts fail to describe honestly: a light-to-mid taupe oak, warm enough to avoid feeling cold but clearly greyed compared with Sand, with a soft even figure running through it. Bella is lighter and cooler; Hawthorn is far deeper and more olive. It is a good answer when white walls and grey stone need a floor that bridges them, and it holds up well against both warm timber joinery and cool paint. It will disappoint anyone hoping for an obviously warm, golden timber look.

Mid-tone greiges are among the most practical floors you can specify. The tone is deep enough that light dust does not stand out and light enough that dark grit does not either, which puts Sparrow in the narrow band where a floor genuinely looks clean between cleans. That makes it a strong candidate for hallways, family living rooms and open-plan kitchens. It is also stable under changing light, staying much the same colour from morning through to lamplight, where cooler greys can shift noticeably through the day.

The Grande 9.0 platform is built for substance underfoot. Its 9mm build includes a 2mm pre-attached IXPE acoustic underlay, which cuts footfall noise and removes a separate underlay from the installation entirely. The layers above it are a rigid SPC core, an LVT balance layer and a cushion pad, topped with a 0.55mm wear layer and an anti-bacterial UV coating. Long 1500 x 230mm boards with micro-bevelled edges lock together on a precision click-lock profile and float over the substrate. The rigid core is waterproof, though a click-together floor is not a waterproof assembly and is no substitute for a waterproofing membrane. Speak to us before specifying it for a wet area.
