Spotted Gum - 14/3mm Crosswood Engineered Timber Flooring

Crosswood Spotted Gum is the Australian block in the range. Instead of oak grain it shows the interlocked, wavy figure and honey-to-rose colour spread of spotted gum, with pale pink boards beside deep tan ones and the odd dark vein. It is the most varied of the Crosswood colours.

Spotted gum herringbone suits homes that already have Australian timber in them, from joinery to a deck outside the glass, and it sits with cream, white and sage walls and with brass or black fittings. The variation is the appeal, so open several packs and mix blocks as you lay, or the pink and tan pieces will bunch.

Blocks are 600 x 127 x 14mm with a 3mm timber veneer over a plywood core, enough for a light sand and recoat in future. The tongue and groove profile goes down by direct fix, the method HTT recommends for its 14mm and 15mm engineered boards, and each block has a micro bevel on all four edges so the pattern reads as separate pieces.

It is finished in a 5 to 8 percent matt. Grade is ABCD, so knots, gum vein and colour movement between blocks are expected. Packs hold 24 blocks and cover 1.8288m2 at 16.5kg. Slip resistance is P3 on the wet pendulum test, and HTT's residential warranty covers 25 years on the structure and 7 on the coating.
