Patraea - 15/4mm Quercus Engineered Timber Flooring

Quercus Patraea is a mid warm honey oak with strong cathedral grain, scattered knots and a good spread between paler and deeper boards. It is the traditional oak colour in the range, the one people picture when they say oak floor.

Warm honey oak suits period homes and new builds alike, sits with cream and white walls, and works with brass, black and timber fittings. It shows the timber's character rather than a flat tone, so lay from several packs at once to spread the knottier and darker boards through the room.

The board is Quercus, 15mm thick with a 4mm European oak veneer over plywood: twice the timber of a 14/2 board, and thick enough that a future sand and recoat is realistic. Boards are 1900mm long and 190mm wide with a tongue and groove profile, installed by direct stick or floating on glued joints.

The finish is a 5 to 8 percent matt with a micro bevel on all four sides, and the oak measures 6.6 kN on the Janka hardness scale. ABCD grade allows knots, checks and up to a quarter short boards per box; a 2.166m2 pack weighs 21.5kg. Slip resistance is P3 wet, and HTT's residential warranty is 25 years structural and 7 years finish.
