Rana - 15/4mm Quercus Engineered Timber Flooring

Quercus Rana is a pale grey-greige oak with soft grain and a cool cast, the greyest of the pale boards in the range. It is cooler than Latte Oak and Welsh Cream and lighter than Aliena.

Pale cool oak suits contemporary rooms with white walls, grey joinery and black fittings, and it keeps a light room from feeling yellow in afternoon sun. Against warm cream walls it can look flat, so keep the palette white or cool. Like every pale floor it shows dust and hair sooner than a mid tone.

Quercus is a 15mm board with a 4mm European oak veneer over a plywood core. That veneer is twice the depth of a 14/2 board and thick enough to sand back and recoat when the floor eventually wears, which is the reason to choose it over a thinner engineered oak. Boards are 1900 x 190mm, tongue and groove, for direct stick or floating installation.

Finish is a 5 to 8 percent matt with a micro bevel on all four edges. Grade is ABCD with up to 25 percent short boards per box, and a 2.166m2 pack weighs 21.5kg. Wet slip tested P3 to AS 4586:2013. Residential warranty is 25 years on the structure and 7 years on the finish, excluding wet areas and steam mops.
