Quercus Engineered Timber Flooring
Quercus is HTT Flooring's engineered European oak, and it carries the thickest wear veneer of the three HTT oak ranges: a 15mm board with a 4mm oak top layer. Nine colours, 1900mm long and 190mm wide.
The veneer thickness is the specification that matters most on an engineered floor, because it decides how many times the floor can be sanded and recoated instead of replaced. At 4mm, Quercus supports more resurfacing cycles than Bonita at 2mm or Crosswood at 3mm. If you expect to refinish the floor more than once over its life, this is the range to look at.
Boards are graded ABCD, which means the full range of natural character is included rather than only the clean, even boards. Expect knots, colour variation and grain movement from board to board. The finish is a 5 to 8 percent matt, so there is almost no sheen, and the edges are micro bevelled.
The profile is Tongue and Groove, so the floor can be glued down for a solid, quiet result or floated over underlay for a faster install and easier lifting later. Boxes cover 2.166 square metres at 21.5kg.
Engineered timber needs acclimatising in the room before the first board is cut. Sydney supply and install, supply only, or bring your own installer.
