Arizonica - 15/4mm Quercus Engineered Timber Flooring

Quercus Arizonica is a light warm oak with a pink-blonde cast, soft grain and a few small knots, close to the colour of freshly sanded European oak under a clear coat. It is warmer than Rana and Welsh Cream and lighter than Patraea.

Light natural oak is the most forgiving colour in the range for a whole house. It works with white, cream and greige walls, with pale and dark furniture alike, and it dates more slowly than a stained tone because it simply looks like timber. Sunlight will warm it further over the years, as it does any oak, so avoid leaving one rug in one place for the first summer.

The board is 15mm thick with a 4mm oak veneer over plywood, which is the thickness at which a worn floor can be sanded back and recoated rather than replaced. Boards are 1900 x 190mm with a tongue and groove profile, installed by direct stick or floating on glued joints.

Finish is a 5 to 8 percent matt with a micro bevel on all four sides, and the oak has a Janka hardness of 6.6 kN. Grade is ABCD with up to 25 percent short boards per box; each 2.166m2 pack weighs 21.5kg. Slip resistance is P3 on the wet pendulum test, and the residential warranty runs 25 years on the structure and 7 on the coating.
