Welsh Cream - 15/4mm Quercus Engineered Timber Flooring

Quercus Welsh Cream is the palest board in the range, a cream-white oak with a faint pink-grey cast and soft, low-contrast grain. It is lighter than Latte Oak and warmer than Rana.

A cream-white floor is for a light, low-contrast room: white or off-white walls, pale timber, soft greys and natural textiles. It makes small rooms feel larger and dim rooms brighter. It also shows dust, hair and dried spills sooner than any other colour here, and the difference between its own boards shows too, so lay from several packs at once.

The board is 15mm thick with a 4mm European oak veneer over plywood. On a pale floor scratches are less visible than on a dark one, but the 4mm veneer still matters: it is what allows a sand and recoat in future rather than a replacement. Boards are 1900mm by 190mm with a tongue and groove profile for direct stick or floating installation.

Finish is a 5 to 8 percent matt with a four-side micro bevel. ABCD grading allows knots and colour movement and up to a quarter short boards per box; a 2.166m2 pack weighs 21.5kg. Slip resistance is P3 on the wet pendulum test, and HTT's residential warranty is 25 years structural and 7 years on the coating.
