Blackbutt - 9.5mm Duro Plus Hybrid Flooring

Duro Plus Blackbutt is a light to mid warm golden tan, smooth, with fine straight grain and the odd pale sapwood streak and small dark fleck. Of the hybrid blackbutts on this site it is one of the closer matches to the species: solid blackbutt lays pale gold with a faint olive edge, and this board sits only a shade warmer than that.

It is the safe choice in the range for a whole house. Golden tans go with cream, warm white and stone walls, with timber joinery and with black fittings, and they hide dust and footprints better than the pale greys do. In a west-facing room it will warm up further through the afternoon, so look at a board in that light before you decide.

Duro Plus is HTT's heavier hybrid. The rigid core is 8mm, with a 1.5mm acoustic underlay already attached, for 9.5mm in total, and the wear layer is 0.5mm. The board is 1800mm long and 228mm wide, which is 300mm longer than Guardian in the same catalogue, so a long room needs fewer end joins.

The surface is an embossed matt that follows the printed grain, with a micro bevel on all four sides and a drop lock click for floating installation. Three boards make a 1.2312m2 pack weighing 22kg. Slip resistance is P3 on the wet pendulum test to AS 4586:2013, and the residential structural warranty runs 25 years.
