Heritage Grey - 15/4mm Prestige Oak Engineered Timber Flooring

Heritage Grey is the most characterful board in the Prestige Oak range, and the name undersells it badly. It is not a grey floor. It is a deliberately mixed board where dark chocolate, golden honey and mid-brown planks sit side by side, giving a floor with more variation than anything else here.

That is the whole appeal. Multi-tonal timber looks like a floor that has been lived on and added to over decades, which is exactly the effect a period home, a converted warehouse or a farmhouse kitchen wants, and which a uniform stained board can never fake. It is also the single most forgiving floor in the range: with this much variation, marks, dust and traffic simply have nowhere to show.

Be clear about what you are buying, though. If you want a calm, even floor, this is the wrong board. Latte or Tan give you similar warmth without the drama. And because the variation is the entire point, one plank photograph tells you very little about how it actually lays. Prestige Oak is genuine European Oak with a 4mm wear layer over a 15mm engineered board: sandable and recoatable two or three times, unlike any laminate or hybrid. UV-cured European polyurethane, superior matte, limited lifetime structural warranty, 20 years on the finish. Supply and install available across Sydney.

It is made in two profiles on the same 15/4mm board, tongue and groove and click. Pick the one your installer prefers at checkout. Tongue and groove can be direct stuck or floated; click is a floating install.

European Oak is a natural material. Variation between boards and between batches is expected and includes mineral streaks, black stain, medullary rays, knots, and slight surface checking and filling. This is the character of the timber, not a fault. We recommend ordering all material for a job at once.
