Maritime - 12mm Oakleaf Laminate Flooring

Maritime is the quietest board in the Preference Floors Oakleaf range: a soft pale warm greige with very low grain contrast and almost no tonal shift between planks. It is the one to choose when the floor should recede entirely and let the joinery, furniture or a rug carry the room. Low-contrast pale floors also hide the two things that bother people most day to day: fine scratches and everyday dust. The trade-off is that dark grit shows more readily, so an entry mat earns its keep.

On a board this plain, what matters is the substance underneath. The core is FSC certified HDF, so the fibre is traceable to responsibly managed forests, and it carries a lifetime structural warranty covering the board for as long as you own the floor: the strongest warranty in our laminate range. The click system is licensed from Flooring Industries, so it installs floating with no adhesive, and the range is fire and slip test certified to Australian requirements.

This is the 12mm AC4 board at 2200mm x 193mm, 1.698m² per pack. AC4 is a step above the standard residential rating and handles hallways and family homes as comfortably as bedrooms, and on a low-contrast colour the 2.2 metre plank matters more than usual, because joins are the main thing the eye picks up when there is little grain to look at.

One limitation: suitable over in-slab hydronic heating only, not electric underfloor heating. Supply and install available across Sydney.
