Spotted Gum - 8mm Oakleaf Laminate Flooring

Spotted Gum in the Preference Floors Oakleaf range is a rich golden-amber with strong grain movement: a warm, confident reading of the species, which in reality runs honey through amber to mid brown with considerable plank-to-plank variation. It is the boldest colour in this range and the most forgiving of everyday traffic, because a floor with this much tonal movement simply does not show marks the way an even board does. It suits a room with space; in a small space the variation can start to compete.

Oakleaf's substance is in the board. The core is FSC certified HDF, so the fibre is traceable to responsibly managed forests, and it carries a lifetime structural warranty on the board for as long as you own the floor. The click system is licensed from Flooring Industries and installs floating with no adhesive; the range is fire and slip test certified to Australian requirements.

This is the 8mm AC3 board at 1215mm x 195mm, 1.895m² per pack. AC3 is the standard residential wear rating, suited to bedrooms, living rooms and ordinary domestic traffic; for busier areas the same colours come in a 12mm AC4 board at 2200mm long, which also suits a high-variation pattern better because the longer board gives the grain room to read. Either way, suitable over in-slab hydronic heating only, not electric underfloor heating.
