Nordic Oak - 8mm Oakleaf Laminate Flooring

Nordic Oak is the palest board in the Preference Floors Oakleaf range: a whitewashed grey-white with very faint grain, closer to limed or bleached oak than to any natural timber tone. It is the floor to choose when you want the room to feel as bright and as open as possible, and it is the natural partner to a Scandinavian or coastal scheme. The honest trade-off is that a floor this pale shows dark grit and hair more readily than a mid tone does, so an entry mat matters. If you want pale with a little more warmth, Classic Oak is the 8mm option; Ivory, on the 12mm board, is warmer again and carries visible knots.

What you are buying with Oakleaf is the board. The core is FSC certified HDF, so the fibre is traceable to responsibly managed forests, and it carries a lifetime structural warranty covering the board for as long as you own the floor. The click system is licensed from Flooring Industries and installs floating with no adhesive; the range is fire and slip test certified to Australian requirements.

This is the 8mm AC3 board at 1215mm x 195mm, 1.895m² per pack. AC3 is the standard residential wear rating, right for bedrooms, living rooms and ordinary domestic traffic; the 12mm AC4 board at 2200mm long is the step up for busier spaces. Either way, suitable over in-slab hydronic heating only, not electric underfloor heating mats.
