Swish Laminate - Vivid - 12mm Laminate Flooring

Vivid is a good deal quieter than its name - a light greige oak with a soft taupe base, gentle plank-to-plank drift and low-contrast grain rather than the high-drama figuring you might expect. It sits very close to Nutmeg in tone, with Vivid the slightly cooler and more varied of the two. If you genuinely want contrast and character from a floor in this range, Sydney Gum and Jarrah are the boards that deliver it. Vivid instead suits contemporary interiors that want a pale neutral floor with just enough movement to stop it looking printed. It is not the board for a room that needs the floor to be the feature.

Light greige is the most specified floor colour in the country at the moment, which matters if a property may be rented out or sold on. Practically, Vivid sits in a useful middle: pale enough to keep a room open, varied enough to disguise everyday marking better than a flat pale decor would, and neutral enough that it will not fight a change of wall colour later.

This decor sits on the Swish Bespoke platform: a 12mm board measuring 1518 x 236mm, matt-finished, micro-bevelled on four sides and embossed in register. EIR is worth understanding - the embossing plate is registered to the printed decor, so the grain you run your hand across is the grain you are looking at, not a generic texture stamped over the top. It turns up elsewhere in this catalogue, but it is the single clearest upgrade over flat-printed laminate at this thickness. Boards lock with Välinge 2G and float over underlay without adhesive, which also means an individual board can be lifted and replaced later.

The range carries an AC4 abrasion rating, an E1 VOC rating and a 25 year warranty for private use. It is approved for dry interior areas in homes and commercial premises only, so plan a different floor for wet rooms. Supply and install available across Sydney.
