Riverside Reserve - Sea Forth - 17mm Cut Pile Carpet

Sea Forth is the palest colour Riverside Reserve is made in, a near-white warm cream, and the 17.0mm pile gives it a softness the shorter build cannot match. At this depth the colour reads slightly deeper and creamier, because the longer yarn casts its own shadow. It is a main-bedroom and formal-sitting-room colour: barefoot in the morning, light-filled, expensive-feeling. Be clear-eyed about the combination, though. A near-white at 17.0mm is the least forgiving pairing in the whole crossover, so keep it away from entries, pets and children's play areas, and expect footprints to be visible until you vacuum. If you want this colour somewhere it will take traffic, Parkview Gardens carries Sea Forth at 12.5mm and is the better build for that job. Within this range, Auburn is the half-step-deeper alternative and Waverley the warmer, golden one.

Belgotex build Riverside Reserve as a tufted cut pile in 100% stainproof solution dyed nylon over a FusionBac backing. On the palest colour available, the stainproof treatment and the fact that the pigment sits inside the fibre rather than on it are what make the choice defensible at all. Spills can be lifted, and repeated cleaning will not strip the tone out of the yarn.

At 17.0mm total thickness this is the deepest pile carpet in the Adore Rugs range, and that depth is the entire reason to choose it. It is a genuine sink-in underfoot feel, the sort of carpet people comment on. The trade-off is honest and worth stating: a pile this deep records footprints and vacuum tracks, and it is not the right carpet for a stair flight or a hard-working hallway.
