Baltimore - Sandstone - 10mm Patterned Cut Pile Carpet

Sandstone is the warmest of the pale colours in Baltimore: a sand-beige with the range's mottled two-tone fleck lifting it, so it looks like weathered stone rather than flat cream. Put it beside Chalk and the difference is obvious: Chalk is a cool light grey, Sandstone has a genuine golden warmth to it. It is a shade lighter and noticeably less brown than Dune. This is the colour for rooms with warm white or cream walls, blackbutt, spotted gum or tallowwood floors, and for anyone who finds grey carpet chilly. The flip side is honest enough: in a hard, cool scheme built on crisp whites, black tapware and pale grey joinery, Sandstone will read yellow. Choose Chalk or Marble there.

Baltimore is Belgotex's patterned entry in their Premium SDN family, and the mottled surface does real work. Because the speckle breaks the eye up across the floor, dropped crumbs, pale lint, sand tracked in from the beach and the grey lanes that form at the top of a staircase are all far less visible than they would be on a plain carpet of the same tone. On a light colour like Sandstone that matters more than on a dark one. A plain pale cut pile can look tired within a year in a busy household, while a patterned one keeps its composure.

The fibre is 100% Premium Solution Dyed Nylon, which is the specification that makes a pale carpet viable at all. The colour is locked into the fibre at the point of manufacture rather than applied to the outside of it, so the carpet is stain proof and fade proof, tolerates strong cleaning, and holds its tone in direct sun. It is anti-allergenic as well. A FusionBac reinforced backing keeps the 4.0m broadloom stable underfoot and on stair nosings, and at 10.0mm total thickness it is rated Extra Heavy Duty Residential and Heavy Duty Commercial by Belgotex, with an AS ISO 9239-1 fire rating.

It carries a 20 year residential and 10 year commercial warranty, the longest Belgotex offer on carpet. Belgotex are ISO 14001 certified and have set Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) targets; solution dying uses no water, and the finished carpet is low VOC emitting.
