Grande 9.0 - Bella - 9mm Hybrid Flooring

Strip most of the warmth out of a pale oak and you land somewhere close to Bella — a light grey-beige board with a soft, washed-back grain and very little contrast between the ground and the figure. Next to Chalk it reads warmer and less stark; next to Sparrow it is clearly lighter and greyer. It suits rooms where the floor is meant to recede behind the furniture and the art, and it works especially well with cool white walls, black tapware and stone benchtops. It is the wrong board if you want timber to be the warm element in a room — Capri or Sand will do that far better.

A pale, low-contrast floor makes a small room read larger and a dim room read brighter, which is why Bella tends to end up in apartments, south-facing bedrooms and narrow hallways. The trade-off is honest: light greys show dark grit and hair more readily than a mid-brown does, and the soft grain gives you less pattern to hide behind than a heavily textured board. In a busy entry or a house with a big dog, expect to sweep more often. In a low-traffic living room with good light, it stays looking clean with very little effort.

Grande 9.0 is the thickest hybrid board Eco Flooring Systems makes: 9mm in total, of which 2mm is IXPE acoustic underlay bonded to the back at the factory, so nothing separate is rolled out beneath it. Above that sits a rigid SPC core with an LVT balance layer and a cushion pad, finished with a 0.55mm wear layer under an anti-bacterial UV coating. Boards are 1500 x 230mm with micro-bevelled edges and join with a precision click-lock profile as a floating floor. The core is a waterproof rigid core, but a click-together floor is not a waterproof assembly and is not a substitute for a waterproofing membrane — talk to us before specifying it for a wet area.

It is covered by a 25 year residential and 5 year commercial warranty, rated A+ for VOC emissions, phthalate free and 100% recyclable at the end of its life. Supply and install available across Sydney.
