Grande 9.0 - Capri - 9mm Hybrid Flooring

Capri is the board people point at when they say they want timber to look like timber: a honeyed mid-blonde oak with long, flowing grain and a golden cast that stays the right side of yellow. Set beside Sand it is deeper and more saturated; set beside Pacific Blackbutt it is smoother and less varied plank to plank. Choose it if you want the floor to bring warmth into the room rather than sit back politely. Avoid it if your joinery is already warm oak or your walls lean cream — too much of the same temperature and the room flattens out.

Warm mid-tone floors are the most forgiving thing you can put in a family home. The golden ground and visible grain break up dust, sand and light scuffing far more effectively than either a flat pale board or a dark one, which makes Capri a sensible answer for hallways, open-plan kitchens and anywhere shoes come through the door. It also lifts rooms that get little direct sun, where a grey board can turn cold and flat by mid-afternoon. In a very large open space the consistency of the grain reads as calm rather than busy.

The Grande 9.0 platform is built for substance underfoot. Its 9mm build includes a 2mm pre-attached IXPE acoustic underlay, which cuts footfall noise and removes a separate underlay from the installation entirely. The layers above it are a rigid SPC core, an LVT balance layer and a cushion pad, topped with a 0.55mm wear layer and an anti-bacterial UV coating. Long 1500 x 230mm boards with micro-bevelled edges lock together on a precision click-lock profile and float over the substrate. The rigid core is waterproof, though a click-together floor is not a waterproof assembly and is no substitute for a waterproofing membrane — speak to us before specifying it for a wet area.

Warranty runs to 25 years residential and 5 years commercial. The board carries an A+ VOC rating, is phthalate free and is fully recyclable at end of life, which makes it a straightforward specification for projects with indoor air quality or sustainability requirements.
