Cuban - 14/3mm Crosswood Engineered Timber Flooring

Crosswood Cuban is a mid warm brown oak with strong cathedral grain and a spread of lighter and darker blocks, a traditional stained-oak colour in a herringbone block. It is browner and lighter than Brescia and warmer than Walnut's red.

Mid brown herringbone is the classic parquetry look, and it is more forgiving than the dark or pale versions: it hides mid-tone dust, sits with cream, white and stone walls, and works with both painted and timber joinery. The variation between blocks is part of the pattern, so mix blocks from several packs as you lay.

Blocks are 600 x 127 x 14mm with a 3mm European oak veneer over plywood, thick enough for a light sand and recoat down the track. The tongue and groove edges are fixed direct to the subfloor, which is HTT's recommended method for its 14mm and 15mm boards, and each block carries a micro bevel on all four sides so the herringbone reads as individual pieces rather than a printed sheet.

The low 5 to 8 percent gloss keeps reflections down. Grade is ABCD, with knots, checks and colour movement expected. Each pack has 24 blocks and covers 1.8288m2 at 16.5kg. Slip resistance is P3 on the wet pendulum test, and the residential warranty covers 25 years on the structure and 7 on the coating.
