Ornato - Vittoria - 5.3mm Looselay Vinyl Plank

Golden amber with genuine rustic character, Vittoria carries open knots, dark grain lines and fine surface checking across a warm honey field - the most characterful of the warm decors in this collection. Florence covers similar ground but is smoother and more evenly figured, and Vichy is lighter with a blush cast, so Vittoria is the one to choose when you actually want the knots to show. It looks its best in generous spaces with plenty of daylight: rural homes, open-plan extensions, cafes and restaurants where a floor with visible grain adds atmosphere. In a small, low-lit room the strong figure can feel busy, and it will not sit comfortably in a pared-back minimal interior.

Hospitality and open-plan residential are both environments where floors get damaged in specific, predictable spots, and looselay answers that directly. The planks are not clicked together and not fully bonded down - they rely on weight, friction and a tight squared edge - so a scorched or gouged board in front of a bar or beside a doorway is a five minute fix rather than a closure. Whole floors can also be lifted and relaid when a tenancy changes, which is a practical advantage a locking hybrid simply cannot offer.

Behind the decor is a 5.3mm looselay luxury vinyl plank measuring 178 x 1219mm, built around a fibreglass core layer that holds each board flat and dimensionally stable without any mechanical locking profile. The surface pairs a 0.50mm PU wear layer with a NanoSilver antibacterial coating, and the squared edges give a flush, bevel-free join between boards. It is laid looselay and glueless, with minimal adhesive used across large open areas. The floor is rated R10 for slip, insulates well against both sound and heat, and is suitable over underfloor heating. It is moisture resistant, though a looselay floor is not a waterproofing system - please talk to us before specifying it for a bathroom or laundry.
