Ornato Looselay Vinyl Plank Flooring
Ornato is looselay vinyl plank, which means the boards lie flat under their own weight instead of clicking into each other. Sixteen decors at 178 x 1219mm and 5.3mm thick, with a fibreglass core layer that keeps each plank flat without a mechanical lock.
That construction solves one specific problem very well. If a plank is damaged, you lift it and drop in a new one without touching the rest of the floor. For an office, a shop or a tenanted property, that is usually the whole reason to choose looselay. It also means the evenly toned decors blend a replacement board in almost invisibly, while the rustic ones with knots and splits are harder to match.
A 0.50mm PU wear layer handles daily traffic and the surface carries a NanoSilver antibacterial coating. Slip resistance is rated R10, the squared edge gives a flush board-to-board finish, and it is suitable over underfloor heating. It is moisture resistant, but a looselay floor is not a waterproofing system, so speak to us before specifying it for a wet area.
Installation is glueless, with minimal adhesive introduced only across large open spans. Packs cover 2.17m2 across ten planks at 18kg. Twenty year guarantee. Sydney supply and install, supply only, or bring your own installer.

Golden amber with genuine rustic character, Vittoria carries open knots, dark grain lines and fine surface checking across a warm honey field - the most characterful of the warm decors in this collection. Florence covers similar ground but is smoother...

What sets Vichy apart is the variation between boards: some planks run pale and almost pink, others drop into a soft salmon-brown, and a few carry darker streaks and fine checking, so the finished floor has a patchworked, reclaimed-timber quality....

Oatmeal, sandy and faintly washed with grey, Verona is a pale oak that manages to stay warm without ever looking yellow. That balance is its whole point. Pau is cooler and chalkier and Tuscany is warmer and more biscuit, so...

Cool silver-grey oak, softly limed, with fine dark grain lines and small knots that give it just enough texture to avoid looking printed - Umbrina is the contemporary grey of the Ornato range. It is regularly compared with Morlaix and...

Biscuit and wheat rather than gold, Tuscany is a soft warm-neutral oak whose grain is so lightly drawn that from standing height the floor reads almost as a single tone. It is the quietest decor in the Ornato range. Blackbutt...

Light to mid honey oak with a gentle golden glow, Tivoli is the middle ground between the pale blondes and the deeper ambers in this collection. Against Le Mans it is a shade stronger and less apricot; against Vittoria it...

A muted mid-brown with grey running through it, Ornato Spotted Gum reproduces the banded light-and-dark character of the native timber without the red that most people expect from Australian hardwood. Held against Sienna the distinction is immediate - Sienna is...
AVAILABILITY: In stock (1000 items)
Red-brown, warm and unmistakably Australian, Sienna is printed from native eucalypt with long ribbon figure sweeping down the length of each plank and caramel highlights breaking up the deeper tones. It shares a family resemblance with Spotted Gum, but Spotted...

Rome is a pale greige with a distinctly green cast - closer to sun-bleached olive wood or dry eucalypt than to a true grey oak - laid over a softly weathered grain with fine dark cracks. That green undertone is...

The lightest floor in the Ornato collection, Pau is a limed, whitewashed oak whose grain has been bleached back until it is barely more than a shadow, with a faint cool lilac-grey undertone in the pale areas. Verona is the...

Weathered driftwood grey with real character: Morlaix carries open knots, cracked grain and plank-to-plank tonal shifts that run from silver through to a bruised brown-grey. It is the most rustic of the three greys in this range. Umbrina is a...

Warm, soft and slightly apricot, Le Mans is the gentlest of the golden oaks here. The grain is long and low-contrast, more of a gentle wash than a pattern, which gives the floor a calm, almost creamy surface rather than...

Latina is the darkest decor in the Ornato collection and the most heavily textured - a smoked, almost charcoal-brown oak shot through with coarse open grain, sawn marks and dark knot shadows. Como is its closest neighbour but stays noticeably...

Think of a clean, mid-tone honey oak with a golden core and very little colour variation from plank to plank - that is Florence. It is one of three warm blondes in this collection and the easiest to mix up...
AVAILABILITY: In stock (1000 items)
Deep chocolate-brown with a warm red-brown undercurrent, Como is the richest of the dark decors in the Ornato range without tipping into black. Laid alongside Latina the difference is obvious: Latina is a smoked, near-charcoal oak with coarse rustic figure,...

Ornato Blackbutt is the palest of the warm Australian looks in this range: a sandy blonde field with fine, tightly spaced grain and only the occasional darker fleck, printed to mimic native blackbutt rather than a European oak. It sits...
