Warm, soft and slightly apricot, Le Mans is the gentlest of the golden oaks here. The grain is long and low-contrast, more of a gentle wash than a pattern, which gives the floor a calm, almost creamy surface rather than the crisp figure of Florence or the knotty amber of Vittoria. Put the three together and Le Mans is the one that looks lit from within. It works beautifully in bedrooms, coastal homes and interiors built on off-whites, rattan and linen, and it is forgiving of pale dust. Where it struggles is against cool grey cabinetry or blue-toned stone, which will pull the apricot warmth out of it and make the floor look orange.

The looselay format suits the way rooms like these actually get used. Nothing is clicked together and nothing is permanently bonded down, so the floor can be lifted and relaid - in part or in full - without destroying it. Tenants move out, a wardrobe is added, a plank is damaged by a dragged bed frame: in each case a single board can be taken up and replaced in a few minutes. For rental fitouts in particular, that keeps repair costs proportionate to the damage instead of to the room.

Every plank is 178 x 1219mm and 5.3mm thick, with a fibreglass core layer embedded to hold the board dimensionally stable through temperature change rather than depending on a locking profile. A 0.50mm PU wear layer protects the decor, a NanoSilver antibacterial coating is applied across the surface, and the squared edge means no bevelled groove to collect grit. It lays looselay and glueless, with minimal adhesive used across large open areas. Slip resistance is R10, sound and heat insulation are both strong points of this platform, and the floor is suitable over underfloor heating. It is moisture resistant, yet a looselay floor is not a waterproofing system, so speak to us first if you are thinking about a bathroom or laundry.
