Swish Laminate - Floria - 12mm Laminate Flooring

Floria is the palest board in the Swish Bespoke range and nothing like the honeyed oak the name suggests - the swatch is a soft whitewashed grey with a faint mauve-taupe cast and grain that reads as fine texture rather than pattern. Against Linden it is clearly lighter and less decidedly grey; against Eggshell the two are not in the same conversation at all, one a warm honey and the other a cool near-white. It suits Scandinavian, coastal and minimal interiors, white and pale grey joinery, and rooms that need to feel larger than they are. It is the wrong board if you want warmth or visible character underfoot.

Very pale floors buy you perceived space and reflect what light a room gets, which is why they dominate apartments and smaller homes. The trade-off is honest: with almost no pattern to hide behind, dark scuffs, grit and pet hair show earlier on Floria than on any other decor here, so a mat at the entry is worth planning for rather than adding later.

Swish Bespoke Laminate Flooring is a 12mm floating laminate on a 1518 x 236mm board - shorter and wider than the long planks that dominate the category, which keeps the pattern repeat tight in rooms broken up by doorways and joinery. The surface is matt with EIR embossing. EIR means embossed in register: the texture pressed into the board is aligned to the printed grain, so the ridge you feel sits where the grain you see falls. EIR appears on other ranges in this catalogue too, but against flat-printed laminate it is the difference you notice first. All four edges are micro-bevelled and boards join with Välinge 2G locking, folding down over underlay with no glue.

The range carries an AC4 abrasion rating, an E1 VOC rating and a 25 year warranty for private use. It is approved for dry interior areas in homes and commercial premises only, so plan a different floor for wet rooms. Supply and install available across Sydney.
