Swish Laminate - Jarrah - 12mm Laminate Flooring

Jarrah is the deep red-brown of the Western Australian hardwood it is named after - a rich, slightly purple-leaning brown with dense straight grain and a real sense of weight to it. Nothing else in the Swish Bespoke range goes this warm or this dark. Fawn is the only other genuinely dark decor here, and the two have nothing in common tonally: Fawn is cool, smoky and greyed where Jarrah is unmistakably red. It is the right choice for period homes, Federation and Californian bungalow interiors, and anyone matching existing jarrah joinery, skirtings or doors. It is the wrong choice for a small, dim room, where a floor this dark will make the space feel smaller still.

Dark red floors need a plan for the rest of the room: white or cream walls, and lighting that is warm rather than cold, or the red can turn brown and flat. Jarrah shows dust and pale pet hair more than the mid-tones do, but it hides scuffs and dents well, which is a fair swap in a busy household.

Underneath the decor every Swish Bespoke board is identical: 12mm thick, 1518 x 236mm, matt-finished and micro-bevelled on all four edges. The surface carries EIR embossing - embossed in register - which means the texture is aligned to the printed grain rather than rolled on generically, so what you feel and what you see are the same grain. Other ranges we stock use EIR as well, so it is not exclusive to Swish, but at 12mm with a four-sided bevel it makes each board read as a separate piece of timber. Installation is floating and glueless over underlay on the Välinge 2G locking profile.

Swish Bespoke is rated AC4 for abrasion, certified E1 for VOC emissions, and specified for dry interior areas of private homes and commercial establishments - not for bathrooms, laundries or anywhere regularly wet. A 25 year warranty applies to private use. Supply and install available across Sydney.
