XXL 8.0 - Oak Titanium - 8mm Hybrid Flooring

Oak Titanium is the board most likely to surprise you in person. The name suggests cool metal grey; the board is actually a warm light blonde-wheat with soft golden variation and a gently limed surface. If you are after grey, Oak Sofia or Pearl Grey are the honest answers in this range — Oak Titanium sits much closer to Oak Saffron, one shade lighter and less caramel. Taken on its own terms it is a lovely bright, warm floor for open contemporary spaces, and it is one to see as a sample before committing on the strength of the name alone.

As a light-warm board it does the practical things well. There is enough tone and enough grain movement to absorb dust and fine scratching, and the warmth keeps south-facing rooms from feeling cold on grey days. It brightens a room noticeably without the maintenance penalty of the whitewashed boards at the pale end of the range. In heavy-traffic entries a deeper board still hides more, but for general living areas, bedrooms and hallways it strikes a sensible balance.

XXL 8.0 pairs an extra-long 1511 x 229mm board with an 8mm build that already includes 1.5mm of IXPE acoustic underlay on the back, so nothing separate goes down first. Above the core sit a 0.55mm wear layer and an anti-bacterial UV coating, and every edge is micro-bevelled so each plank stays legible once the floor is laid. Boards join on a Välinge 5G locking profile and float over the existing substrate. The core is waterproof, but a click-together floor is not a waterproof assembly and is not a substitute for a waterproofing membrane — speak to us before specifying it for a wet area.
