Alexandria - Flow - 11mm Scroll Loop Pile Carpet

Flow is a warm mid brown-taupe with a visible fleck running through it: the only colour in the Alexandria range where the yarn variation is obvious rather than subtle. Stand back and it reads as a warm mid brown; step closer and you can see the lighter and darker flecks that make it up. That fleck is a practical asset. It breaks up the surface visually, which means crumbs, lint and the general debris of a household with children or pets are far less obvious between vacuums than they would be on a plain colour like Shore. It is warmer and browner than Shore, and much lighter than Wave. If you want the same forgiving mid tone without the fleck, Shell is the plainer alternative.

Alexandria is Belgotex's scroll loop pile, woven from matte yarn tufted across several loop heights. On Flow, the varied loop heights and the flecked yarn work together. The linear texture gives the floor its structure while the fleck gives it depth, and the combination is remarkably good at absorbing marks.

This is the colour to put in a hallway, on stairs, in a rumpus room or through a rental. Loop pile has no cut tuft ends to splay under traffic, so it resists the flattened lanes that develop on a cut pile at doorways and on stair nosings, and Alexandria carries an Extra Heavy Duty Residential and Heavy Duty Commercial rating. The 100% solution dyed nylon fibre means colour is part of the strand rather than a coating: spills can be cleaned with diluted bleach without lightening the carpet, which is exactly what you want on a floor that is going to take a beating.
