Alexandria - Pebble - 11mm Scroll Loop Pile Carpet

Pebble is a soft sage grey-green, and it is the only colour in the Alexandria range with a genuine green cast. That makes it the interesting one. It is muted enough to behave like a neutral in a bedroom, but in daylight the green comes through clearly against white walls, and it does something no beige in this range can. It picks up the garden through the window and quietly ties the room to it. It works beautifully with warm timber, off-white linen and natural stone. Its closest neighbour is Breeze, which reads greyer and cooler; if you like the idea of a sage but want the green pulled back toward a straight grey, Breeze is the one to compare. If you want no colour at all, Dune is the neutral in this palette.

Alexandria is Belgotex's scroll loop pile, built from matte yarn tufted across several loop heights so the surface carries a fine linear texture rather than lying flat. A coloured carpet benefits from this more than a neutral does: the varied loops catch light at slightly different angles, so the sage shifts subtly across the room instead of reading as one solid block of colour.

The fibre is 100% solution dyed nylon, and for a colour like this it matters more than usual. Because the pigment is locked into the fibre as it is formed rather than applied to the surface, the green will not wash out or sun-bleach into something muddier over time: a real risk with a soft colour in a room with afternoon glass.
