Alexandria - Breeze - 11mm Scroll Loop Pile Carpet

Breeze is a mid sage-grey, greyer and cooler than Pebble, which is the other colour in the Alexandria range carrying a green cast. Think of the two as a pair: Pebble is the sage, Breeze is the sage that has been pulled most of the way back to grey. What is left is a soft, slightly herbal grey that behaves as a neutral from across the room and only shows its green when you look at it against a true white. That restraint makes it the more flexible of the two. It will sit with cool greys, black tapware and concrete-look tile without arguing, and it does not date the way a stronger colour can. Choose Pebble if you actually want the green to read; choose Breeze if you want a grey with a little life in it.

Alexandria is a scroll loop pile from Belgotex, tufted in matte yarn at varying loop heights to create a fine linear texture across the surface. Matte yarn is a deliberate choice here. It keeps the carpet looking like a natural fibre floor rather than a shiny synthetic one, and it stops a mid-grey from picking up the harsh sheen that flatter constructions can develop under downlights.

The roll is 4.0m wide, which is worth thinking about before you order. In a typical Sydney bedroom or a standard living room, that width lets the carpet be laid in one piece with no seam anywhere in the floor, and in a plain mid tone, a seam is exactly the thing your eye will find. It also cuts waste on wider rooms. The yarn is 100% solution dyed nylon, so colour is locked into the fibre and the carpet is both bleach-cleanable and fade-resistant.
