Parkview Gardens - Castle Cove - 12.5mm Cut Pile Carpet

A light cool grey with a clear green cast running through it, Castle Cove is the colour to reach for when a scheme is built on cool whites, black tapware and grey-toned oak. It sits with those without sliding mauve or blue the way many pale greys do, and the fleck in the yarn keeps it from flattening out under downlights. Held against Auburn it is unmistakably the cooler of the two; held against Oatley the question is only which way the undertone leans, because Oatley pulls blue where Castle Cove pulls green. If you like the idea but want real depth in the same green-grey line, Double Bay is the mid point and Rosebery the dark end. It is not a warm colour, so if your joinery and paint are cream or biscuit-based it will look slightly cold. Auburn does that job better.

Parkview Gardens is a Belgotex tufted cut pile in 100% stainproof solution dyed nylon on a FusionBac backing. Because the pigment is locked into the fibre at the point it is made, a flecked mid-grey like this stays a flecked mid-grey; it does not slowly go yellow near a north-facing window or wash pale in the traffic lane.

This is the 12.5mm construction, the practical half of Belgotex's Parkview Gardens and Riverside Reserve colour crossover. Both ranges share the ten colour names, but the pile depth is the real decision: Riverside Reserve is 17.0mm and luxurious, while Parkview Gardens at 12.5mm is firmer underfoot and better behaved where people actually walk: stairs, hallways, family rooms and light commercial fitouts. The flecked yarn compounds that advantage by breaking up marks between vacuums. Rated Extra Heavy Duty Residential and Medium Duty Commercial, tested to CRF 7.5kW/m2 under AS ISO 9239.1, with low VOC emissions, waterless solution dyeing, ISO 14001 certification and science-based emissions targets set.
