Riverside Reserve - Auburn - 17mm Cut Pile Carpet

Auburn in Riverside Reserve is a pale warm greige-cream: the shade that lives between a cream and a soft grey, and the one most people land on when Sea Forth feels a touch too white and Waverley too golden. The 17.0mm pile softens it further: longer yarn means more shadow between the tufts, so it reads a little deeper and warmer here than the same colour does in the shorter Parkview Gardens build. It is an easy colour to furnish around, sitting comfortably with oak, warm whites, linen and rattan, and it is forgiving enough for a main suite that gets daily use. It will not work in a strictly cool grey scheme, where Oatley or Castle Cove are the correct call, and it is not a white. Sea Forth is, if that is what you are after.

The construction is Belgotex's tufted cut pile in 100% stainproof solution dyed nylon on FusionBac backing. Pale warm neutrals are the colours most likely to yellow over time in a lesser fibre; because the pigment is introduced before the filament is formed, Auburn stays the same greige it was on the day it was laid.

This is the 17.0mm build: the deepest pile carpet Adore Rugs stock, and the whole point of Riverside Reserve. Underfoot it is genuinely plush, the kind of depth that suits main bedrooms, guest rooms and formal living rooms where comfort outranks hard wear. Say the trade-off out loud: at this depth the carpet shows footprints and vacuum tracks, and it is not the build for stairs or a high-traffic hallway. Belgotex run Riverside Reserve and Parkview Gardens as colour crossover ranges with the same ten colour names, so Auburn is also available as a 12.5mm Parkview Gardens carpet, which is the firmer build to use anywhere the floor has to take a beating.
