Riverside Reserve - Bronte - 17mm Cut Pile Carpet

Rich golden-caramel brown, Bronte is the warmest and most saturated colour Riverside Reserve is made in, and the deep pile is what makes it work. At 17.0mm the yarn catches light at the tips and holds shadow at the base, so instead of a flat brown you get a surface with real movement and lustre in it. It is a luxurious, slightly old-world colour: heavy curtains, timber joinery, a formal sitting room, a main bedroom in a period house. It is also one of the more forgiving colours in the range, since a mid golden-brown does not show dust or soil the way a pale does. What it will not do is flatter a crisp contemporary white interior, where it can look dated; Waverley is the lighter sand-gold route to the same warmth, and Auburn the neutral one.

Riverside Reserve is a Belgotex tufted cut pile in 100% stainproof solution dyed nylon over a FusionBac backing. Deep browns are the colours that most often develop a lighter wear path on carpets where colour sits on the surface of the fibre; with solution dyed nylon the pigment goes right through, so crushing the pile does not reveal a paler core underneath.

Be deliberate about the build. This is the 17.0mm construction, the deepest pile carpet in the whole Adore Rugs catalogue, and depth is the entire proposition: a plush, sink-in floor for bedrooms, main suites and formal living rooms. The trade-off comes with it: at this depth footprints and vacuum tracks show, and it is not the carpet for stairs or a high-traffic hallway.
