Swish Aqua - Blackbutt - 12.3mm Laminate Flooring

Blackbutt in the Swish Aqua range is a warm golden caramel rather than the pale honey the species is usually shown as - a mid-tone board with real amber depth, visible knot detail and clear colour drift from plank to plank. This range carries two blackbutt decors and they differ in depth as well as character: this is the deeper and livelier of the pair, while Smooth Blackbutt is a clear step lighter and calmer with the figuring pulled right back. Choose this one if you want the floor to look like sawn timber rather than a print. It is less suited to a strictly minimal interior, where the variation may read as busy.

Blackbutt is the most-requested Australian species for a reason: it is light enough to keep a room open, warm enough to work with almost any wall colour, and close enough to real hardwood to sit beside existing timber without an awkward transition. On a 2200mm board the grain has room to run, which makes the decor look more convincing than it does on a short plank.

Swish Laminate Aqua is a 12.3mm laminate on a long 2200 x 196mm board - a genuinely long plank that stretches a room visually and cuts the number of end joints across a floor. Edges are micro-bevelled and boards join with the Välinge 5G locking profile, a drop-and-lock system that floats glueless over underlay without tapping blocks. The functional difference is the Aqua core, which resists moisture instead of swelling at the first spill. That is resistance, not waterproofing - laminate is never waterproof - so talk to us before specifying it for a bathroom or laundry. For kitchens, entries and family living it is far more forgiving than a conventional laminate core.

Packs cover 2.16 m2 across five boards at 23kg, VOC emissions are rated below E1, and the range is suitable for interior areas of private homes and commercial establishments, with a 25 year warranty for private use. Supply and install available across Sydney.
