Swish Aqua - Manhattan Oak - 12.3mm Laminate Flooring

Manhattan Oak is a light, warm sand-toned oak with smooth low-contrast grain - softer and considerably more golden than the cool urban grey its name implies. Fendi Oak sits nearest to it and the pair are often shortlisted together: Manhattan is the lighter, cleaner and warmer of the two, Fendi slightly deeper with more grey worked through it. It suits open-plan homes, warm white and cream walls, and interiors that mix timber furniture with painted joinery. It is not the choice for a hard-edged grey scheme built on concrete and black metal - Madrid Oak and Oak Colonial are the decors in this range that do that job.

Light warm floors keep a room open and are the easiest tones to match furniture to, which is why they are specified so heavily in new builds. Fine dust sits close in tone to a board like this, though dark grit and pet hair will show sooner than they would on a mid-brown. Manhattan Oak runs well continuously from the entry through hallways and living areas, where a busier decor would start to feel restless.

The Aqua platform is a 12.3mm board measuring 2200 x 196mm, micro-bevelled and fitted with Välinge 5G locking, which drops together and floats over underlay with no adhesive. The long board length is part of the look: fewer end joints per square metre reads calmer than a short-plank floor. The headline is the Aqua core, a moisture-resisting core that tolerates spills and damp mopping far better than a standard laminate substrate. It is not a waterproofing system and no laminate is waterproof, so please speak to us before you put it in a bathroom or laundry, where another product is usually the better answer.

Packs cover 2.16 m2 across five boards at 23kg, VOC emissions are rated below E1, and the range is suitable for interior areas of private homes and commercial establishments, with a 25 year warranty for private use. Supply and install available across Sydney.
