Montreal Oak is a warm mid-brown oak with a tobacco base and moderate grain definition - warmer and more straightforwardly brown than the cool, neutral board the name might lead you to expect. The comparison to make is Oak Georgia: both are warm browns, but Georgia is brighter and more golden with heavier grain contrast, while Montreal is quieter and more even. It suits transitional interiors, rooms that mix timber and painted joinery, and anyone who wants an honest brown floor without rustic character. If you wanted something cooler and paler, Oak Vermont is the grey-toned board in this range.

Mid-browns of this kind are the workhorses of any laminate range. Montreal Oak hides everyday wear well, works under both warm and neutral lighting without shifting, and does not date the way strongly greyed or strongly golden floors can.

Swish Laminate Aqua is a 12.3mm laminate on a long 2200 x 196mm board - a genuinely long plank that stretches a room visually and cuts the number of end joints across a floor. Edges are micro-bevelled and boards join with the Välinge 5G locking profile, a drop-and-lock system that floats glueless over underlay without tapping blocks. The functional difference is the Aqua core, which resists moisture instead of swelling at the first spill. That is resistance, not waterproofing - laminate is never waterproof - so talk to us before specifying it for a bathroom or laundry. For kitchens, entries and family living it is far more forgiving than a conventional laminate core.
