Swish Aqua - Oak Fremont - 12.3mm Laminate Flooring

Oak Fremont is an olive-toned oak - a warm khaki-gold with a distinctly green-yellow cast, rustic grain and open knot detail, and nothing like the pale straw board the name suggests. Nothing else in the Swish Aqua range sits in this part of the spectrum; the closest in depth is Blackbutt, which is cleaner and more caramel where Fremont is dustier and greener. It suits earthy palettes - terracotta, sage, warm stone - and rooms with enough light to stop the olive turning muddy. It is the wrong board if you want a neutral, pale, unobtrusive oak, and Oak Ostana and Miami Oak are the light decors to look at instead.

A floor with a colour this specific is a commitment: it will look deliberate against the right palette and awkward against a cool grey one, so it is worth seeing a full board rather than a swatch before you decide. The upside is practical - the rustic grain and depth of tone hide scuffs, grit and dropped food better than almost anything else in the range, which makes Fremont a sensible choice for entries and family rooms.

Swish Laminate Aqua is a 12.3mm laminate on a long 2200 x 196mm board - a genuinely long plank that stretches a room visually and cuts the number of end joints across a floor. Edges are micro-bevelled and boards join with the Välinge 5G locking profile, a drop-and-lock system that floats glueless over underlay without tapping blocks. The functional difference is the Aqua core, which resists moisture instead of swelling at the first spill. That is resistance, not waterproofing - laminate is never waterproof - so talk to us before specifying it for a bathroom or laundry. For kitchens, entries and family living it is far more forgiving than a conventional laminate core.

VOC emissions are certified below E1, packs run 2.16 m2 over five boards and weigh 23kg, and the range is approved for interior areas in homes and commercial premises. A 25 year warranty covers private use. Supply and install available across Sydney.
