Swish Aqua - Oak Vermont - 12.3mm Laminate Flooring

Oak Vermont is a pale cool grey oak with a whitewashed surface and clear darker streaking through the planks - the opposite end of the range from the deep warm brown its name suggests. Vincentia Oak is the nearest board to it: both are light and grey, but Vincentia is smoother and more evenly silver, while Vermont carries more contrast and more visible grain character. It suits contemporary interiors, cool white and grey palettes, black hardware and stone benchtops. It is not the pick for a warm traditional scheme, and it is not the pick if you were after a floor with weight - Oak Nashville is the dark board in this range.

Cool pale floors keep a room bright and make a modest footprint feel larger, and the streaking through Vermont gives it more to hide behind than a plain pale decor has. Dark grit and pet hair will still show sooner than they would on a mid-brown, so plan for mats at the entry. Under warm artificial light the grey softens noticeably, which is worth checking against your own lighting before you commit.

The Aqua platform is a 12.3mm board measuring 2200 x 196mm, micro-bevelled and fitted with Välinge 5G locking, which drops together and floats over underlay with no adhesive. The long board length is part of the look: fewer end joints per square metre reads calmer than a short-plank floor. The headline is the Aqua core, a moisture-resisting core that tolerates spills and damp mopping far better than a standard laminate substrate. It is not a waterproofing system and no laminate is waterproof, so please speak to us before you put it in a bathroom or laundry, where another product is usually the better answer.

VOC emissions are certified below E1, packs run 2.16 m2 over five boards and weigh 23kg, and the range is approved for interior areas in homes and commercial premises. A 25 year warranty covers private use. Supply and install available across Sydney.
