Sumptuous Cut Pile Carpet
Sumptuous is Belgotex's soft carpet, and the yarn is the reason. It is 100% Premium Soft Solution Dyed Nylon, engineered for hand and comfort underfoot rather than for maximum density, tufted as a cut pile to 12.0mm. The result is a deep plush floor with obvious cushioning. Eleven colours, mostly neutrals.
That construction decides where it belongs. This is the carpet for a bedroom, a main suite or a living room where people sit on the floor. It is not the one to put on a staircase or through a hallway that takes the whole household.
The honest counterpoint: a soft deep pile records footprints and vacuum tracks. In the mid tones it reads as gentle shading rather than anything alarming, and it brushes out, but a loop pile holds a more uniform look if that is your priority.
What does not change is the colour. Solution dyeing introduces pigment into the liquid nylon, so it is locked into the fibre rather than sitting on it. The carpet is stain proof and fade proof and tolerates hard cleaning. FusionBac reinforced backing keeps the 4.0m broadloom stable.

Dreamy is a true black and the darkest colour Sumptuous offers. Where Spell Bound retains a trace of charcoal and Whisper is clearly a dark grey, Dreamy has no grey left in it at all. It is the absolute end...
AVAILABILITY: In stock (1000 items)
Spell Bound is a very dark, near-black charcoal, deeper than Whisper, which still reads as a charcoal grey, and just short of Dreamy, which is a true black. It keeps the faintest amount of grey in it, enough that in...
AVAILABILITY: In stock (1000 items)
English Toffee is the only genuinely brown colour in Sumptuous: a warm mid brown with a true toffee tone to it, caramel rather than chocolate and with none of the grey that neutralises the rest of the palette. Elite, the...
AVAILABILITY: In stock (1000 items)
Read the swatch, not the name: Whisper is a dark cool charcoal-grey. It is one of the deepest colours in Sumptuous, a long way from the pale, barely-there tone the name implies, and it is easily the most misjudged colour...
AVAILABILITY: In stock (1000 items)
Platinum is a mid cool grey with a brown undertone running underneath it, which is what stops it from being the flat, hard grey that the name suggests. It is the grey for people who want a grey floor but...
AVAILABILITY: In stock (1000 items)
Elite is a mid warm taupe-brown, and the easiest way to place it is against Luxe: same family, but Elite is darker and distinctly warmer, with more brown pulled through the taupe. Where Luxe reads mushroom, Elite reads soft earth....
AVAILABILITY: In stock (1000 items)
Luxe is a mid warm mushroom-taupe: the colour of a raw linen curtain or a dried mushroom cap, with more brown in it than Cloud Nine and less than Elite. It is the true middle of the Sumptuous neutrals: warm...
AVAILABILITY: In stock (1000 items)
Despite the name, Cloud Nine is not a pale colour. It is a mid warm grey-taupe: a good deal deeper than Pearl or Porcelain, and comfortably in the middle of the Sumptuous range rather than at the light end of...
AVAILABILITY: In stock (1000 items)
Porcelain is the coolest pale colour in Sumptuous: a light grey with a distinct green cast, closer to a pale stone or sea glass than to a warm cream. That green is what separates it from Pearl, which is a...
AVAILABILITY: In stock (1000 items)
Pearl is a light warm greige: the pale end of Sumptuous, sitting a clear step above Royal Beige in lightness while keeping the same warm undertone rather than going grey. Put the two side by side and Pearl is the...
AVAILABILITY: In stock (1000 items)
Royal Beige is a warm mid sand-beige with a faint pink cast to it: soft rather than yellow, and warmer on the floor than most beiges photograph. It is a mid tone, noticeably deeper than Pearl, which is the paler...
