Preference Floors
Preference Floors is the largest single supplier in Adore's flooring catalogue, with 156 products across hybrid, laminate and engineered timber, supplied or installed across Sydney.
The hybrids run from Easi-Plank at 7.5mm, also sold as EasiPlank and available as both plank and herringbone, through Iconic and Hydroplank in WPC, to Aspire in rigid core. Lifestyle Collection sits at the top: 12mm with a 0.7mm commercial grade wear layer.
In laminate there is Oakleaf HD Plus, Oakleaf and AquaStop. In engineered timber, Prestige Oak, in a 15/4mm board and a 14/2mm click board.
Which Preference Floors range suits which room
For an apartment, Iconic tested at AAAC 6 Star for impact noise (39 dB), and Aspire and Easi-Plank at 5 Star. Iconic, Aspire, Easi-Plank and Hydroplank also tested free of respirable crystalline silica. For a busy kitchen or entry, Easi-Plank is rated P4 for wet slip. Iconic, Aspire, Easi-Plank planks and Lifestyle are not rated for bathrooms or laundries, so for a wet room ask us about a waterproof range instead. AquaStop 14mm laminate holds out a topical spill for 72 hours, the longest in the AquaStop line. If you want real oak that can be sanded and recoated, Prestige Oak 15/4mm has a 4mm oak layer and comes in tongue and groove, and in click for most colours.
Most of the hybrids come with an acoustic underlay already attached: 1.5mm on Iconic, Aspire and the Easi-Plank planks, and 1.0mm on Easi-Plank Herringbone. That saves buying and laying a separate underlay.
Buying Preference Floors in Sydney
We sell Preference Floors three ways: supply and install, supply only if you are laying it yourself, or supply while your own installer lays it and we stay on hand to help. Preference Floors products are priced on quote. We measure, check the subfloor and give you a written price before anything is booked. Installs are Sydney only. You can talk through the range at our Auburn showroom.
Preference make more ranges than we keep listed. If you are after one that is not here, call us on 02 9166 3980 and we will tell you whether we can get it.
Warranties run to 25 years limited structural on the hybrids, with 20 years on the residential wear layer. Compare other brands we carry: Godfrey Hirst, HTT Flooring and Terra Mater, or browse the full flooring range.

Parana is a light warm greige-tan with open knots and visible character: a pale board that has not been sanitised, where the natural marks of the timber are left on show. That combination is more useful than it sounds. Pale...

Marble is the palest board in the Prestige Oak range: a very light white-grey with the faintest warm cast and grain so soft it barely registers from standing height. A floor this pale is a design decision rather than a...
AVAILABILITY: In stock (1000 items)
Limewash is a warm golden oak with white pulled through the grain: the traditional limed finish, where pale pigment sits in the open pores and leaves the surface reading both warm and softened at once. Liming is an old technique...

Latte is a warm mid golden-brown: a tobacco-toned oak with even grain and a settled, unfussy character. It is the middle of the warm range: deeper than Tan, lighter than Dark Brown, and without the olive cast of Chestnut. Mid...

Iron Grey is a mid-dark smoky grey-brown with strong plank-to-plank variation: some boards reading almost charcoal, others distinctly brown, with a wire-brushed surface that gives the floor texture as well as colour. It is the darkest grey in the Prestige...
AVAILABILITY: In stock (1000 items)
Heritage Grey is the most characterful board in the Prestige Oak range, and the name undersells it badly. It is not a grey floor. It is a deliberately mixed board where dark chocolate, golden honey and mid-brown planks sit side...
AVAILABILITY: In stock (1000 items)
Grey Mist is a pale, soft grey-beige: a gently greyed oak with low contrast and quiet grain, the lightest of the true greys in the Prestige Oak range. Pale greys are the easiest timber floors to furnish around, because almost...

Espresso is worth looking at properly, because the name sets the wrong expectation. It is not a dark coffee brown. It is a warm mid golden-amber oak, closer to honey than to anything espresso-coloured, with rich flowing grain and real...

Ebony is the darkest board in the Prestige Oak range: a near-black oak with a faint purple-brown undertone and grain still readable through the depth of the stain. This is the most dramatic floor here, and it is genuinely striking...
AVAILABILITY: In stock (1000 items)
Dark Brown is a deep chocolate oak: rich and warm, with strong grain running visibly through the depth of colour rather than disappearing into it. Dark timber floors are a commitment worth being clear about. In a room with generous...
AVAILABILITY: In stock (1000 items)
Castle Grey is a mid grey-brown with pronounced variation from board to board: some planks lean brown, others distinctly grey, and the wire-brushed surface catches light differently across the floor. That variation is the point. A greyed timber floor with...

Avola Natural is European Oak left to look like itself: a bright golden honey tone with clean flowing grain and no stain pushing it warmer or cooler. It is the most natural-looking board in the Prestige Oak range and the...
