Preference Floors
Preference Floors is the largest single supplier in Adore's flooring catalogue, with 157 products across nine ranges and four floor types.
The hybrids run from Easi-Plank at 7.5mm, also sold as EasiPlank and available as both plank and herringbone, through Iconic and Hydroplank in WPC, to Aspire in rigid core. Lifestyle Collection sits at the top: 12mm with a 0.7mm commercial grade wear layer where residential hybrid normally runs 0.3mm to 0.5mm.
In laminate there is Oakleaf HD Plus, Oakleaf and AquaStop. In engineered timber, Prestige Oak.
One thing worth knowing across the hybrid ranges: every one of them comes with acoustic underlay already bonded to the board, either 1.5mm or 2mm depending on the range. There is no separate underlay to buy or lay, and in an apartment or a second storey that attached layer is what keeps the floor from sounding hollow to the room below.
Warranties run to 25 years limited structural on the hybrids. Sydney supply and install, supply only, or bring your own installer.

Delta Sand is not the warm sandy tone the name implies. It is a pale cool grey-white with a faint lilac cast: among the coolest boards in the Preference Floors Oakleaf HD Plus range, and a genuinely different proposition to...

Clove is cooler than the name suggests. Rather than the warm spice brown you might picture, it is a muted mid grey-brown: the grey holding the warmth in check and keeping it from going orange in afternoon light. That makes...

Blackbutt in the Preference Floors Oakleaf HD Plus range is a light warm golden-tan with a soft, even grain: a restrained and fairly convincing take on the species, closer to how Australian blackbutt actually lays than the heavily saturated golden-amber...

Bedrock is the richest board in the Preference Floors Oakleaf HD Plus range: a mid-dark warm brown with genuine depth in the grain and a good deal of tonal movement from plank to plank. It is the colour to choose...

Arctic Fox is the palest board in the Preference Floors Oakleaf HD Plus range: a near-white cream with only the faintest grain showing through and almost no tonal shift between planks. It is the floor to choose when you want...

Alpine Mist is a light warm blonde-beige oak: a clean, bright board with soft grain movement and a gentle sandy cast, bright enough to open up a room without the coldness of a true white-grey. It is the most broadly...

Tawny Oak is not tawny. The name suggests a warm orange-brown, but this is the darkest board in the Preference Floors Oakleaf range and it is a smoky grey-brown: cool rather than warm, with strong dark striation running the length...
AVAILABILITY: In stock (1000 items)
Spotted Gum in the Preference Floors Oakleaf range is a rich golden-amber with strong grain movement: a warm, confident reading of the species, which in reality runs honey through amber to mid brown with considerable plank-to-plank variation. It is the...

Nordic Oak is the palest board in the Preference Floors Oakleaf range: a whitewashed grey-white with very faint grain, closer to limed or bleached oak than to any natural timber tone. It is the floor to choose when you want...
AVAILABILITY: In stock (1000 items)
Mystic Oak is the grey of the Preference Floors Oakleaf range: a mid cool grey with just enough brown underneath to stop it reading blue, and a weathered grain that gives the surface something to do. It is the board...
AVAILABILITY: In stock (1000 items)
Maritime is the quietest board in the Preference Floors Oakleaf range: a soft pale warm greige with very low grain contrast and almost no tonal shift between planks. It is the one to choose when the floor should recede entirely...
AVAILABILITY: In stock (1000 items)
Ivory is not the near-white the name suggests. It is a light warm greige-tan with visible knots and honest grain movement: a soft, natural pale board rather than a bleached one. That is worth saying plainly, because customers reading "Ivory"...

Classic Oak is exactly what it says: a light golden-tan oak with clean, even grain and no stain pulling it grey or red. It is the most conventional colour in the Preference Floors Oakleaf range and, for a lot of...
AVAILABILITY: In stock (1000 items)
Blackbutt in the Preference Floors Oakleaf range is a rich golden-amber, noticeably more saturated than the species actually lays. Real Australian blackbutt is a paler gold with a soft olive cast; this is a warmer, more golden interpretation of it....
AVAILABILITY: In stock (1000 items)
Aspen is the neutral of the Preference Floors Oakleaf range: a light warm greige-tan with soft grain movement and moderate variation from plank to plank. It sits almost exactly between the warm golden colours and the cool greys here, which...

White Sands is a light greige oak with a wire-brushed surface, pale and cool-leaning, with the brushing raising the grain so the floor has texture you can feel as well as see. The brushed finish is what separates it from...

Vanilla is a soft pale greige-beige: a gently warmed neutral with smooth, even grain and low contrast, sitting almost exactly between the warm blondes and the cool greys in the Prestige Oak range. That middle position is what makes it...

Tan is a light-to-mid golden oak with scattered knots, warmer and a shade deeper than Straw, with the same natural character but a little more colour in it. It sits in the most useful part of the range. Light enough...
AVAILABILITY: In stock (1000 items)
Straw is a pale natural oak with open knots, light, warm and unstained, closer to raw timber than to anything finished, with the grain and natural marks left clearly visible. It is the most honest-looking board in the Prestige Oak...

Storm is a mid grey-brown with a cool, even cast: less variation than Castle Grey, less depth than Iron Grey, and the most restrained of the greyed boards in the Prestige Oak range. Restraint is its value. Where the heavily...

Parana is a light warm greige-tan with open knots and visible character: a pale board that has not been sanitised, where the natural marks of the timber are left on show. That combination is more useful than it sounds. Pale...

Marble is the palest board in the Prestige Oak range: a very light white-grey with the faintest warm cast and grain so soft it barely registers from standing height. A floor this pale is a design decision rather than a...

Liquorice is another board whose name misleads. It is not black. It is a mid grey-brown oak, heavily wire-brushed, with unusually strong grain contrast where the brushing has cut into the softer timber and left the harder grain standing proud....
AVAILABILITY: In stock (1000 items)
Limewash is a warm golden oak with white pulled through the grain: the traditional limed finish, where pale pigment sits in the open pores and leaves the surface reading both warm and softened at once. Liming is an old technique...
